The plastic piece, carefully handcrafted by Elodie Carstensen, looks otherworldly.

I fell in love with it the moment I caught a glimpse of it. It reminded me so much of David Bowie. I am sure he would’ve loved it.

Daniel was the perfect person to do this shoot. There was an immediate connection between us and I called him my bro far too many times.

The location, again, looked incredible. Sand dunes in the middle of Germany! It was as much of a surprise for me as when I had discovered sand dunes in the Netherlands.

Apparently the dunes were a rather peaceful place, as I got attacked by angsty ants that were only waiting for someone’s bare legs.

Despite that, this shoot ended up being one of my all time favourites. I loved the direction Daniel took with the photos and the mood he created with soft light and a lot of dark tones.
